On the 1st of December in 2021 under the cooperation with the National Aviation University and the University of Warsaw (Poland) and the implementation of the 4EU + Alliance Minigrant Project “Transnational Legal Communication on COVID-19: From Legislative to Popular Discourse” in the Department of Studies in Language Mediation and Intercultural Communication, scientific-pedagogical staff of the Faculty of Law of NAU took part in the online colloquium “Legal communication in the conditions of COVID-19. Linguistic and discursive approach through contexts and media”, held at the University of Milan (Italy).
Associate professors of the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law Maryna Dei and Oksana Myronets presented their report on the theme “Higher Legal Education Issues and Prospects of in Pandemic and Post-pandemic Conditions”, highlighting the problems of higher legal education institutions and their teaching staff in providing educational services under COVID-19, the features of a modern students’ portrait, their requirements for teachers and expectations of higher education institutions in the global changes of digital society, outlined the advantages and disadvantages of online education, as well as prospects for higher law school in post-pandemic conditions.
Representatives of higher education institutions from all over the world also discussed the concept of legal communication, the development of legal education in pandemic and post-pandemic times, considered the issue of quarantine measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic and thus limit personal freedoms of citizens, highlighted the problems in the linguistic approach to the language problems of the COVID-19 pandemic, analyzed the court cases related to COVID-19, which are considered in the European Court of Human Rights.
